Hulk Hogan resigns from WWE after a video surfaced of the WWE icon using offensive language. “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. The conversation was related to his daughter Brooke Hogan’s personal dating life, where he referenced the n-word several times. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is
no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it,” Hulk Hogan.

This one of Hulk Hogan’s most memorable moments versus Andre the Giant, where Hogan slams the Giant.

Hogan was scrubbed from the WWE’s website on last Friday morning, with no videos or photos of
the famed wrestler remaining. He was also removed from the online Hall of Fame. This is just
another problem for the Hulkster who also had a lawsuit against a video site that posted a
sex tape of him.

“This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise, I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.” Hulk Hogan

WWE, however, maintains that Hogan was fired: “WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (a.k.a. Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”

The firing or the resignation of Hulk Hogan was a bit extreme, but I think believe that the WWE had to make a strong stand on this racial issue. For the time being Hulk Hogan will stay away from the WWE, but I believe in the future Hogan will be back. There has been some social media boards that agree Hogan will be back in the WWE.
